Vania Sciolini is Program Manager of the Transformations of the Human program. In this role she is responsible for managing projects to support the development and growth, operations, and strategic initiatives of the program. This includes the administration of key partnerships with AI and Biotech labs, universities, and cultural organizations to advance the research objectives of the program’s fellowship along with the design of activities that engage internal and external publics.
Vania’s previous programs at the Berggruen Institute include the Berggruen Prize, where she managed the jury deliberations and the prize gala, and a salon series, which brought in various speakers to intellectually engage with the Institute’s network.
Vania holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in English Literature. She immigrated independently from Ethiopia at the age of 17 and is a polyglot who speaks Amharic, Italian, and Spanish.
