Deliberative Democracy

In response to the steep decline in trust for our government institutions, we must reinvent our concept of democracy and place the citizen at the center of the democratic process. We must ultimately make the government itself a facilitator and platform for citizen’s deliberation.

Building a Citizen’s Democracy takes an expansive view of the institutions, culture, education, and processes that need to evolve in order to create resilient democracies, responsive to the challenges of the Digital Age. We invite people who are thinking of meaningful alternatives to electoral, representative democracy. This includes the study of the tools, institutions, cultural values, education, and beyond to instill a different kind of decision-making process—one that is  deeply informed, and consensus based.
